Asha Health Care currently runs the
following sub-programs
Asha
Clinic
The urban based Asha Clinic was created
quite literally out of need, when the village based health workers began
finding themselves faced with more and more cases that needed access to
advanced health care facilities.
- Daily doctor on site
- Free medical treatment
for 'Yellow Card' members**
- Green Card members
(who can pay medicine charge)
- Pathology Lab on site
- 'Good Health' counseling
in the waiting area.
- HIV/AIDS prevention
and awareness program
- Playing area for the kids.
- ORS (Oral Rehydration
Solution) and clean water
- 'Litto' (high protein
porridge) nutrition
- Accompanied referral
routes with transportation
- Community visit and health awareness
program
Asha Village Health (in 13 remote Himalayan villages)
- Primary health care & free medical
treatment for target communities
- Focus on children attending the Child
Welfare Scheme kindergartens (DCHCs)
- Medical educative counseling
- Home visits
- Accompanied referral routes with
transportation
- 'Hamro Asha'** membership (Yellow
card and Green card membership) issued now by village based health workers
Asha Hostel
- Free accommodation and food for one
guardian and patient only for referral patients from any organization
with recommendation letter.
- Basic education classes for both
care taker and patient
- Night guard and hostel care taker.
- 12 beds in Asha Hostel
- Medical counseling, physiotherapy
and occupational therapy
- Waiting and play area
- Oral ORS and clean water
Asha Mobile Clinic
- Health care for the under 18 years
in target communities
- Health support for parents
- 'Good Health' counseling
- Mother and Child health counseling

Asha Youth Health

the JYOTI vocational training centre
