Jyoti Rehabilitation
Introduction
"JYOTI is the biggest project of the CWS with hundred of trainees and thousands of street kids are directly or indirectly involving with it.
In 2004-5 we expanded our range of services for the growing number of destitute street and slum-dwelling children, and young people who have been abused or rescued from trafficking. This project aims to empower children and young people from various difficult background to reintegrate into society.
JYOTI Rehabilitation consists of the JYOTI Street Project and the JYOTI Vocational Training Centre; together they provide marginalized young people with a route from destitution to education, training and ultimately to employment, home and a respectable place in society. JYOTI is there to provide young people with skills, including life skills, trade skills and social skills so that their rights are ensured and they can have an independent and dignified life with financial freedom.
